Welcome to Charleston Dog Training Club

We are a non-profit affiliate club of the American Kennel Club, founded in 1959, to teach owners and their canine companions. We offer a variety of classes for pet dogs and competitors. Our members are involved  in a variety of canine events - Obedience, Rally, Conformation, Tracking, Scent Work, Barn Hunt, Fast CAT, and more.

Classes restarted the week of May 11. The  schedule is dependent on the rules we must follow to safely open up to the public. If we cannot safely hold a class, we will move it back to the following week on a weekly basis. If you have registered for the class, you will be notified of any date changes. We will also be limiting all classes so that social distancing can be maintained.

What we are doing to keep our facility clean and safe for you:

  • All water bowls should be removed from crates after use. There are disposable bowls on the table at the back of the building. You are welcome to use them and just toss after use.
  • The floor and crates will be sprayed with Accel disinfectant at the end of the day by the instructor or last person training if there are no classes.
  • The use of masks will be required
  • Remember to use social distancing of 6 feet between persons. That is equal to the length of two Labradors.
  • Hand sanitizer is available and should be used on entry to the building, including when you return after pottying dogs.It should also be used after touching a dog.
