10AM: Steps to CGC (6wks)

Prerequisites: STAR Puppy or dogs over the age of 11 months old start of class.

Steps to CGC is your next step from our STAR Puppy or a starter class for your older puppy or dog. We will be adding new skills to your dogs tool box and prepare you for the Canine Good Citizen class.

We will focus on skills learned in other classes and build on those skills with added duration and distance with distractions, making CGC class a piece of cake.

Skills will be:
Loose leash walking
Sit-stays
Down-stays
Come when called
Greet a stranger
Its Yer Choice games for leave-it and impulse control
Distance Stays
Settle with calmness
Name equals attention
Body handling (grooming)
Drop-it and play.
Separation out of sight for 1 minute
Collar grab
Sit politely for petting

We require a minimum of 3 registered students to have this class and females in season may be asked to leave if are a distraction in class.

DHLPP or DHPP and Rabies are required to attend this class. You can email a copy to the instructor or bring them with you.

Please contact the class instructor by email if you have any questions pertaining to the class itself. Any other questions please direct those to the Training Director and we will do our utmost best to help you.

Cancellation Policy:

We require a minimum of a 72 hour notice if you wish to cancel your registration for this class to receive a partial refund. A $10 cancellation fee will be held for processing. Cancellations less than 72 hours notice will not receive a refund but rather a partial credit towards another class. For cancellations please contact us at charlestondogtrainingclub@gmail.com
